Elomaz Foundation has generously donated food items to 400 widows and Orphanage Homes in Isoko South and North Local Government Areas of Delta State.
The Director-General of Elomaz Foundation, Mrs. Veronica Odogu, represented by the Foundation’s Secretary, Mrs. Peace Akalekor, conveyed to journalists in Oleh during the distribution event that this initiative aimed to commemorate Christmas and New Year, while also providing support to underprivileged members of the society.
During the distribution, bags of rice, vegetable oil, cartoons of tomato paste, condiments, and other provisions were given to the Orphanage Homes, while widows received bags of rice along with a cash amount of Five Thousand Naira (N5,000.00) each.
Mrs. Odogu emphasized, “The project is an annual endeavor focused on empowering widows and the less privileged, especially during these challenging times. We have four sets of activities conducted yearly, including this distribution of packages to widows and registered Orphanage Homes across the Isoko nation for Christmas and New Year celebrations.”
She further disclosed, “We are also gearing up to register over 1000 students for JAMB this year, coupled with our FREE JAMB LECTURES. All these projects are funded solely by the foundation’s founder, Senator Joel-Onowakpo Thomas, and they are not politically motivated. In October, we plan to award scholarships to the best students in each class across selected schools in Isoko nation, with 6 students in each school benefiting under the Elomaz Foundation Students Assistance Scheme.”
